Utrecht Toastmasters is an English language club, part of a worldwide Toastmasters Organisation. Utrecht Toastmasters provides an ideal environment to learn, fine tune and perfect your public speaking skills. Toastmasters International has a web page to welcome new members, including a pdf of the first speech project, the 'Ice Breaker'.

And have fun
Even though we work hard to master the skills, an important part of our club meetings are the social gatherings at the bar of Florin when the meeting is over. This helps to create friendly and fun atmosphere, so necessary for our members to learn and grow. We work closely with our sister clubs in Toastmasters Netherlands which naturally extends our network and possibilities.
International membership: a melting pot!
Utrecht Toastmasters has a lively mix of Dutch people, an ever-changing variety of expats and students. Many members are actively involved in the international business community.
Both native English speakers as well as individuals with a reasonable command of the English language are invited to participate. This is the way to gain confidence by giving speeches and to improve on presentation and leadership skills.
Guests are welcome!
You are welcome to visit our Utrecht Toastmasters club. We usually meet every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. Our meeting starts at 19h15. Please check the schedule at the top right of this page,
We meet at bar Florin. You can ask behind the bar where to find us, or just take the double doors to the left, two stairs up to the top floor, then to Room 8.
You can visit us without prior notice but we prefer if you contact us beforehand, so we make sure that you get the information you want.
Experience first-hand, the methods and approaches we use to develop communication and leadership skills in a fun and rewarding way!
We believe that an exrtensive mentoring programme contributes to growing as a speaker. Recently this thought was kicked off with a workshop being given by Szilvia. In that workshop she shared the basics with us. Refer to the video here and the FAQ with answers to the most commonly asked questions here. Esteblashing the programme will take a little while. If your like to help or to share your thougts, please get in touch with the VP E or with the VP M.
