Guidelines for Making a Bid to Host a District Conference

The purpose of the district conference is to conduct the business of the district douncil, stage a speech contest, elect district officers, present a district Communication and Leadership award, provide primary and/or follow-up training for district and club officers, and provide additional educational opportunities in which Toastmasters can participate.

It is vital that your members leave the conference feeling they enjoyed, learned and benefited from attending – and they should leave wanting to attend the next conference. The success of your conference depends upon creativity and planning.

To host a District Conference prepare a proposal and send the request to District Governor or LGET.

As attachements you find:

  • Requirements for a Conference Proposal
  • Requirements for organizing a District Conference
  • Overview of the roles and responsibilities

With this information you can start your adventure to organize a District Conference.
