It will soon be time to recruit, elect and install a new executive committee for our club; the said committee's mandate begins on 1 July.
Would you like to join the board? Please speak to the Bossuet Gaveliers' immediate Past President, Mariana Florea.
Any club member can apply, and though this is not a rule, there is a recommended path from Sergeant-at-Arms to President (simply because the latter must grasp the roles of the whole team beyond any doubt, and most Toastmasters believe that learning is best achieved by doing).
Consider also whether you wish to have a look or embark already on the new educational programme launched on 20 March 2018 on toastmasters.org for our region, namely the ten PATHWAYS proposed (a collection of projects and tasks illustrated with videos, specific guidelines and examples).
You may pick the pathway proposed to you based on your self-assessment (looking at your own goals and a few questions), or disregard that recommendation and pick another.
For club members the first pathway is free. For dual and multiple members, two pathways are free.
In any case, the vice-president for education (already the one in office, and then of course the one taking office from July onwards, too) will be your ally and guide, as she or he will manage the so-called Base Camp and validate your progress on the main website https://toastmasters.org. Easyspeak (our meeting management tool http://tmclub.eu) continues to be the website for requesting roles and keeping track of your intermediate progress.
Good luck, solid learning and do have fun in the process!
