What are International Days? Why do we celebrate them? The United Nations designates specific days, weeks, years and decades as occasions to mark particular events or topics in order to promote, through awareness and action, the objectives of the Organization.
This year eg, in July we were celebrating the Nelson Mandela International Day and the International Day of Friendship,… On September 23th, we will be celebrating the International Day of Sign Languages.
We are looking forward to another exiting meeting in which we will ask our speakers to get creative and to invent their own International “X” day.
